TOEFL

Test of English as a Foreign Language is to be taken by almost all applicants to American Universities. TOEFL is administered as a Computer Adaptive Test. Candidates from UK, US, Ireland and Australia need not take the TOEFL. The purpose of TOEFL is to evaluate the English proficiency of people whose native language is not English.

 

TOEFL scores are required for the purpose of admission by more than 2,400 colleges and Universities in United States and Canada. In addition, government agencies, scholarship programs, licensing/certification agencies use TOEFL scores to evaluate English proficiency.

What is TOEFL?

The TOEFL iBT test measures a test taker's ability to combine listening, reading, speaking and writing skills where it matters most — in the classroom. It gives your institution access to millions of students who have proven they have what it takes to succeed in an English-speaking academic environment.

There are 4 Sections in the TOEFL Exam

  • Reading

  • Writing

  • Listening

  • Speaking

Questions

  • Reading - 30-40 Questions

  • Listening - 28-39 Questions

  • Speaking - 4 Tasks

  • Reading - 2 Tasks

Total 3 Hours are provide with a 30 Minute break

  • Reading - 54-72 Minutes

  • Listening - 41-57 Minutes

  • Speaking - 17 Minutes

  • Reading - 50 Minutes
